As a recruiter I’ve always longed for the opportunity to really get to know candidates. I mean, not so much that I’m invited to their baby’s gender-reveal parties, but to the extent that I could dive deep and ask WHY they’re into the work they’re into and what their real dreams are for their whole grand life.
In my 30s I burned out (I mean, crash, burn, seriously ill, overweight, marriage crumbling, in debt up to my elbows) in my career as a recruiter. It was a “sign of dedication and success” to go through a bottle of advil and pepto every week or so in the office. Sure. I was making bank. So much more than I’d ever imagined I could make and it still didn’t fill me up. I’d like to say that I woke up one morning and vowed to clean up my act and find meaning. That's not how my generation was raised. I felt the compulsion to push through, to chase the dollar, to prove myself and ensure that I got everything that was due to me.
I used to loathe that person. Time heals many things though and I can look back at her and see the lessons piling up that were mine to learn - about worth and value in the world, about the pursuit of happiness and eventually the ways the cards are stacked in favor of some and against others. I’m still learning how to be a better human and merge life and love and career and financial wellness. My health has (somewhat) improved and my focus is on greater service. That’s something I admire about the generations that have come after mine - their apparent desire to live life on their terms. I may not always understand or agree with their tactics but I get the gist of it.
In my journey from then until now I took a hard left turn out of corporate pursuits and into spiritual searching. That led me to some amazing insights and had me face to face with the same pursuit of something outside of me to make me feel whole and worthy. I learned that some people are just in a jerky place in their life, even if they’re covering it up with “divine feminine coaching” and some people are incredibly kind and generous and real, even if they’re making a great deal of money in a corporate setting. The difference being one was focused on the pursuit of money in divine clothing and the other was in pursuit of kindness and used their talents and gifts to earn money to live life on their own terms.
Over that period I learned how to read hands. (I’m a certified professional hand analyst through the IIHA and a certified Master Hand Analyst teacher through the AAHA).
Not the predicting the future way (although I’ve read many books on that topic and studied with some outstanding psychics). I learned how to decode fingerprints and review shapes and lines and the leanings of your fingers and thumbs to tell the story of you - where you are right now. I learned that your hands can show you a path to living on your own terms and in your own best way. I’ve learned that you hands illuminate where you’re making things harder than they need to be and I’ve learned language to help you re-think patterns that may no longer serve you.
I’m telling you this because every day I talk to amazing humans and learn that they’re not looking for a job, they’re looking for a life and they want to get paid what they’re worth. They are in pursuit of their inner joys and are hoping that some company will understand exactly how valuable they are.
They come to me thinking it’s their resume or LinkedIn profile and if we can only tweak it enough they will find that happy place at work. And while we work together, they realize that without a clear understanding of their dreams and values they will keep jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire when it comes to work.
As a coach I’m committed to you seeing results but not at the expense of you seeing your true value and finding ways to align with a company that truly meshes with you. I’ve often stated that I’m hear to help you with the bottom line but never at the expense of the heart line.
For that reason, I’m opening up for non-predictive hand readings as part of my coaching offerings. They will be available on a sliding scale, just as my coaching is, between $50.00-$175.00 - your call on what is right for your budget. My ask is that you come with an open heart and curiosity to your session and you commit to reflecting and integrating what you learn (already know) about yourself in your career and your life.
Each session will last between 30 & 45 minutes and take place on Zoom.
