Your Heart Line At Work
"An Oldie but a Goodie"
More than any one thing on your hand, your heart line tells me how you communicate and how you wish others would communicate with you.
Meaning - it’s indicative of how you want to share your stories and how you listen to others telling their stories.
So often we forget that communication must be a two way interaction to be effective.
I’m pretty sure your palm doesn’t have a red box divided into 4 squares between your first (Jupiter) and middle (Saturn) fingers like the one drawn on this photo.
This 4 square box illustrates the four “end” points of a heart line.
How to Find the Heart Line
The heart line begins on the outer edge of the palm, under the pinky (Mercury) finger and is almost always the upper most, horizontal line on the palm. It travels from the outer edge of the palm toward the first and second fingers, which are Jupiter and Saturn, respectively.
Water
If the heart line ends in the upper box below Jupiter it’s considered a ‘water-influenced’ heart line. This is sometimes referred to as the Big Heart.
Water, in metaphysical terms is related to emotion and a deep need for connection. When someone wants to talk about getting to the “heart” of the matter - they’re coming from a watery place whether they know it or not.
Someone with a water-focused heart line will be very interested in putting the other person first. Which, like everything has a plus and a minus. They may quickly overlay their FEELINGS into assumptions about what the other person is feeling. For instance, assuming that someone is mad at them when they need a little down time or delay in returning a call or text.
Fire
When the heart line ends in the upper box below Saturn it’s considered a ‘fire-influenced’ heart line. This is sometimes referred to as the Diva.
Fire, in metaphysical terms is related to action and high-energy. They have a deep need for movement and to keep ideas and connections moving.
Someone with a fire-focused heart line will be very interested in rallying a group around a meaningful cause, entertaining an audience whether it’s of one person or several hundred. They understand that emotions can drive passion and passion can drive decisions. They may burn out if they aren’t communicating what is meaningful to them.
Air
A heart line that ends in the lower box under the Jupiter finger is considered an ‘air-influenced’ heart line. This is sometimes referred to as the Philosopher.
Air, in metaphysical terms is related to thinking and a deep need for understanding how and why something works (or doesn’t). When someone wants to “get all the ideas out in the open” - they’re coming from an air communication style.
Someone with an air-focused heart line will be very interested in eliciting ideas in insight from others. They want to think about feelings and why you (and they) are having them in the first place! Generally though producers in their own right, they may become acolytes and fall for someone’s ideas, doing what they can to bring those ideas to the world.
Earth
Heart lines that end in the lower box under the Saturn line are considered ‘earth-influenced’ hear lines. This is sometimes referred to as the Hermit.
Earth, in metaphysical terms is related to consistency, honoring your word and sticking to a plan. When someone gets grumpy with constantly changing plans or visions, they’re coming from an earth-based communication style.
Someone with an earth-focused heart line will be interested in understanding the bottom-line or “mission” and receiving clear and direct instructions for completion. As speakers they can certainly be funny and self-deprecating as long as they are able to focus on the one, clear message they came to deliver.
Caveats & Notes
Some lines are more curvy than others. The more curve, the more emotion is encapsulated.
You may have different heart lines on each hand.
Everything in the hand plays off of everything else in the hand for instance, you may have a very ‘watery’ hand with a very earthy heart line. That will contribute to your unique approach to communicating.
Understanding heart lines helps you communicate more effectively and become a better listener.
There is no better or worse, the key is to understand your heart-line type and be the best version you can.
